Mac Lipstick Collection

For a long time now I have been a lover of Mac lipsticks. I have amassed quite a collection ranging from nudes to bright pinks to dark browns. Lipstick is definitely the one makeup item that I love the most and I am always in the market for new and exciting lipsticks, sorry bank account!

I think my favourite thing about lipstick is that you can make such a statement with it. You can go from bright to bold to sultry and everything in between. I especially love wearing a red lip in the evening, it definitely makes any outfit look ultra glam. The easiest time to experiment with different colours I think personally is autumn and winter because the colder months definitely call for a pop of colour.

However don’t be fooled into thinking I only wear a bold lip, because I love the more subtle colours and some of my favourite lipsticks are in fact nude/pink. I think that is why I love Mac, they have every colour you could ever want and they make it so easy to shop. When you walk into any Mac store they have the lipsticks all set out together and they are categorised according to their type – matte, cremesheen or satin for example. It literally couldn’t be easier to shop for your favourite lip colour!

If you’re in the market for a new lipstick I would 100% recommend Mac lipsticks, the are super smooth on the lips and will last all day without having to top up. The lip colours I own are:

  1. All Fired Up (Retro Matte) – A bright fuschia pink
  2. Whirl (Matte) – A true brown/dirty rose
  3. Velvet Teddy (Matte) – A deep-tone beige
  4. Creme Cup (Cremesheen) – A light pink
  5. Kinky (Matte) – A true deep red. This was a limited edition lipstick!
  6. Antique Velvet (Matte) – Intense dark brown. I love pairing this with Chestnut lipliner!
  7. Brave (Satin) – Pink – beige with white pearl. I love pairing this with Soar lipliner!
  8. Taupe (Matte) – Muted redish-taupe brown
  9. Plumful (Lustre) – Light rose-plum
  10. Rebel (Satin) – Midtonal bright cream plum

My personal favourites are definitely Velvet Teddy, Whirl, Taupe and Brave because I tend to wear these colours on a daily basis. I love wearing the brighter colours when I go out of an evening and as I said above in the winter months.

I hope this blog post has given you some lipstick inspiration, especially as I own such a range of colours, or has persuaded you to buy the lipstick you’ve been lusting over! I mean you can see how well loved my lipsticks are! I will most definitely be buying more Mac lipsticks in the future as I have a list as long as my arm of new colours that I want to try!
