My Holy Grail Makeup Products

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetToday I thought I would write a post about my all time holy grail make up products. These are products I have loved from day one and I use to make my make up look flawless!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe products I have been loving are:

Modern Renaissance Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills

All Nighter Setting Spray by Urban Decay

Original Illuminator by Iconic London

Melted Matte liquid lipstick in Cool Girl by Too Faced

Foundation Stick in 2.0 by Iconic London

Petal Power Mineralise Blush By Mac Cosmetics

Prep and Prime Skin Base Visage by Mac Cosmetics

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI choose to talk about these products because I do love them and use most of them on a daily basis. I bought the Modern Renaissance palette in around May time having read a lot of reviews about it. I am so glad I bought it because it’s probably one of my favourite palettes.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThere is such a range of colours that it is easy to create a range of looks for daytime or evening. My favourite colour in the palette is definitely Primavera (The shimmery gold colour) however I also love Venetian Red if I want to create a bolder look. The one thing I would say about this palette though is that there is a lot of fall out from the eyeshadows which can make it quite messy to use and the palette gets covered. However there is such great colour pay-off from the eyeshadows that this doesn’t really bother me.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe palette also comes with a double ended brush which is so easy to use and a large mirror which is super useful!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI honestly don’t know how I lived without the All Night setting spray before I bought it because it is a god send! I have never used a product that keeps my make up looking flawless all day like this product does. I can put spray this product on first thing in the morning and my make up will still be in place in the evening! That’s a result for me, as my makeup nearly always smudges or wipes off my face. It’s also really easy to use, you just spray it on your face in a T or X shape and your make up will not move!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe next product is the Original Illuminator by Iconic London. I ummed and arghed about buying this product as it was £30 which I thought was quite expensive for a highlighter. However, for my 21st birthday I wanted to create a really glowly, stunning look so after watching a few reviews I knew I had to get this highlighter. I love this product but to start with I found it really hard to apply. A little of this product goes a long way, so I would recommend putting this product on your hand before applying to your face or you will end up looking like a disco ball! I have also found that this product is easiest to apply with a small dense brush, I tried with a beauty blender and I found it smudged but didn’t blend in and it was even harder with my finger!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetHowever, if you put this product on correctly you end up with the most flawless, shimmery glow which looks insane! I tend to wear this product in the evening as it is very strong but if you like that look you could rock it through the day as well. The glow is insane and is definitely one of the best highlighters I have ever used!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetSo the next product is probably my holy grail lip product – The Melted Matte Liquid Lip in Cool Girl. I have been looking for a nude/brown lip for so long that wasn’t to light that it washed me out. When I was in America last year I found this and new I had to get it, it’s the perfect brown nude colour. The consistency mean it applies smoothly and dries down fairly quickly without feeling drying on the lips. This product lasts all day maybe needing topping up once after eating. The bottle is also the most gorgeous glass embossed with the Too Faced logo, finished off with a beautiful gold coloured lid.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetAs well as loving the products above I have also been loving the Iconic Foundation Stick. This product is probably one of the easiest foundations to apply because it is in stick form that you can then blend it in easily with a brush. This foundation applies flawlessly and blurs any imperfections. I would say this foundation has a medium-full coverage depending on how much you apply. The foundation is also a reasonable price at £24.99 considering they last quite a long time. I wear 2.0 which is a natural colour with warm undertones. This is probably slightly too dark for me however I am super pale at the moment so I blend it in to give me more colour!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetNow blush is something I have always struggled with. I always think a look looks better with blush but I hate really bright blushes because one to many swipes and you look like a clown! I was with my boyfriend and I can across a blush in Mac and oh my it was the most beautiful blush I had ever seen! It is a minzeralize skinfinish blush which come in a dome shape and I bought Petal Power which is a coral/pink blush with gold shimmer. It’s amazing! I love that you can apply this so it looks subtle but can build it up if you want to. I also love the gold shimmer as it looks beautiful and adds the finish touch to your make up! Iv’e had this blush since last Christmas and it is still going strong so defintely worth the money.

When I was in America with my best friend she was using this product and said I could try some, I honestly don’t know how I lived without it before because it helped keep my make up in place and looking flawless all day (and this was in New York in the heat of summer!). When I first got this product I knew you put it on before your makeup but wasn’t actually sure what it did. It is actually a lotion that evens out redness and improves radiance, which is why it is shimmery when you put it on. I love using this product as I feel very glam and put together when I’ve got it on!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetOverall I think any of the products mentioned would make great Christmas presents for any beauty lover out there because they really are amazing! I feel super lucky to have these products and they really are some of my holy grail items. If you want to buy anything for yourself or loved one the products are all linked above!

I used to love the Mac skin base visage. It leaves a gorgeous glittery shimmer to the skin and looks amazing under foundation! I just didn’t repurchase it due to the price point. I can see why you love it though!

I absolutely love it and the shimmer it leaves, but really don’t want mine to run out anytime soon for the same reason!
