The Ultimate Makeup Gift Guide

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI have finally finished uni for Christmas and I couldn’t be more excited or relieved! Although, I have been so busy with uni that i’ve hardly done any of my Christmas shopping and now have to get anyones presents in the next two weeks.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetAs it is so near Christmas now.. eek! I thought I would create a blog post comprised of all my favourite make up that would make great presents for someone special. I am an absolute make up lover and always have screenshots on my phone of my favourite new make up that I want to get my hands on, so hopefully this post gives you some inspiration or shows you some brands/make up you haven’t seen before.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetNars is a brand I have loved for years and for so long I was desperate to get my hands on some of the products. I wanted to include two Nars products in this post a make up palette and the orgasm blush. Nars eyeshadow is amazing, the palette I have is very wintery with some darker colours and a couple of lighter colours but all are shimmery. My two favourite colours are the gold and the dark bronze/brown, they blend beautifully and are so creamy. All Nars products look so high end and chic and this palette is no exception, the brush included works really well and the mirrored packaging looks beautiful sat on a make up table. Although i’m not sure if this makeup palette is still on sale Nars have some great alternatives to.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetNars orgasm blush has been talked about by so many people so I wont go on about it to much however it is definitely a holy grail product. This blush is amazing, its a peachy pink that blends softly and leaves a natural blushed hue. This blush would be perfect for someone who doesn’t like a super bright blush.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe too faced natural eyes palette is another one of my favourites. I picked this up in America and I love it. I am way more of a shimmer eyeshadow girl than a matte eyeshadow girl so this palette is perfect for me. Although there are some matte shades, the shimmer shades in this palette are stunning! For such a compact palette, I think it’s really good value that you get nine different eyeshadows.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetSticking with eyeshadows I want to talk about the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette. This palette has four shades in it that create a complete look. This is definitely one of my more high end palettes that I like to wear on special occasions. The packaging is beautiful and the chunky gold glitter eyeshadow really adds a ‘wow’ to your make up look.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI want to quickly mention the is the urban decay moondust eyeshadow. These glitter eyeshadows are the best thing ever! I love using this in the corner of my eye to brighten and every time I wear it I get so many compliments!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe other eyeshadow product I want to mention is the Stila glitter liquid eye shadow. Stila is a brand I hadn’t really used before but on my 21st birthday I wanted to create a really glittery look. This product apply super easily and is really wow! I did my own make up at my 21st and people thought I had had it done professionally because it looked so good.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetAnastasia Beverly Hills products are amazing and after recently becoming available in the UK would make great Christmas presents. I have actually bought the product I am about to talk about as a present for someone. The powder contour kit is a really nice product as it has 6 shades in it, it blends easily ad the powder is very fine so doesn’t look chalky. The dip brow pomade is another hyped product which would make a really nice stocking filler. I love this product however I need a little more practice using it as I always overdo it and end up with slug brows. Also make sure you get the correct shade in this product or it can look a little silly.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetOn to lip products, firstly I want to talk about the Laura Mercier lipstick in spiced rose. I bought this lipstick after seeing Tanya Burr wear it at her wedding, it’s a rose beige colour and is perfect for everyday wear. It is also very creamy and moisturising on the lips which is lovely as I often wear a lot of matte products which dry my lips out.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetFinally I want to mention the Chloe Lewis lipsticks. I recently purchased these in the black friday sale and also got one for my best friend for Christmas. I bought Reeva Red and Lady Love and wore Reeva Red for the first time last week. These lipsticks are so moisturising and pigmented so look amazing but are also good for the lips! The lipstick also lasted through a three course meal which I thought was super impressive! These lipsticks are also reasonably priced and there are often deals on for 3 for 2 or buy one get one free etc.
