‘Tis the Season of Giving!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetIt’s Christmas eve… hooray! Christmas is tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited, I love this time of year, getting to spend time with family eating loads of yummy food and having fun. One of my favourite things about Christmas is being able to surprise my family and friends with lovely thoughtful gifts that I know they will love. Watching my family and friends open the presents I selected and bought for them makes me so happy regardless of whether I bought them something small or big.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI wanted to write a post about giving at Christmas as it’s one of my favourite things to do. Obviously I love my friends and family all year round but I feel at Christmas it’s the perfect time to showcase that. Although, no one expects anything and Christmas is definitely all about spending time with loved ones, I feel a thoughtful gift shows just how much you care about a person. You don’t even have to spend money, so of the most personal gifts you can give are handmade!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI wanted to share with you some of the gifts I’ve bought for a few of the lovely ladies in my life. I love shopping for other ladies, especially as most of the stuff I see or purchase I want to keep myself… haha! This year there were lots of lovely different things I could have chosen, but I eventually narrowed it down to the things I thought my friends and family would love.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe Merry and Bright Bubble Bath I have had my eye on since Zoella released the range, so thought it would make the perfect present. Not only is the packaging beautiful, the product is shimmery in the bottle and looks like it would make the perfect bath and the bottle would look beautiful perched on the side in the bathroom. This product is also really reasonably priced, I think I paid around £6 as it was reduced from £10.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetWhile we are on the subject of smelling nice, I was really struggling to find my friend a small present that was lovely nonetheless. When shopping in Victoria’s Secret I found these little gift sets which sell for £8 in store and £9.85, which I thought was super reasonable for two body fragrances with one that has shimmer in it. Victoria’s Secret also had a range of other smells available that come in different coloured packaging, but having smelt love spell before I knew it would be perfect.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetTo go with the gift set above I also bought a nail varnish trio gift set from topshop which at £12.50 I thought was a bit steep but just before Christmas topshop put it in the sale for £6, result! The nail varnishes are beautiful colours that all compliment each other and they come in this really unusual packaging, which would make it hard to guess when it’s wrapped up. I think these nail varnish sets make really lovely presents without having to break the bank.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe Stila lip trio was something I was really excited to purchase my friend. I bought the Play it Cool set which includes three cool toned pink/purple colours. This set cost £20 so I was a little shocked to see how small the liquid lipsticks where, however when you see how much the full size liquid lipsticks retail for, the price point makes sense. The lipsticks are the perfect size to pop into your handbag on a night out and the colours are all really wearable.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI’ve talked about the Chloe Lewis lipsticks before in a previous post so I won’t go on about it to much. These lipsticks are amazing and are so nourishing so I decided to purchase my friend the pink colour in ‘Flossy’. These lipsticks make a really lovely present, especially as the packaging is so beautiful!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetFinally, I wanted to talk about the perfect present that won’t break the bank… sweets! Pretty much everyone loves sweets and chocolate, especially me, so can you really go wrong?

I hope you all have the most wonderful Christmas however you’re spending it and I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has visited my little space on the internet since I launched my blog. Loving the look of the Stila Liquid Lips! I have heard many good things about them, and there isn’t a colour in that set that I would like!

The set is amazing isn’t it? Such versatile but very wearable colours and so easy to just pop into your handbag on a evening out! I bought this as a gift but definitely think I will be investing in the near future!
