Huda Obsessions Palette

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetSo I thought it was time for my first beauty post of 2018. I thought I would start with something new considering it’s a new year and all that. Huda beauty isn’t a brand I had tried before, but after seeing some of the products I knew I really wanted to try them. The launch of the obsessions palettes was so exciting and they looked amazing, I knew I wanted to get my hands on them!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI was lucky enough to receive two of the palettes from my boyfriend for Christmas, yay! I loved all the obsessions palettes that Huda beauty released so it was so hard to choose the ones I wanted. Although I knew I didn’t want the Electric Obsessions Palette as the colours just aren’t me I couldn’t decide between the remaining three, they were all so beautiful. I finally decided to buy the mauve obsessions and warm brown obsessions palettes.

The palette shuts magnetically which means it isn’t going to fly open in your makeup bag and get eyeshadow everywhere.

As this had only one shimmery colour in it I thought it would be a good time to branch out and try some more matte colours. I love that there are some dark colours and some light colours so it would be really easy to move from day to night with this palette. I think the shimmery colour in this palette will add a touch of glam to matte colours, however the matte colours are so pretty you could definitely wear them on their own if you wanted to.

Although I have the naked 3 palette I would definitely say that that is more pink than mauve so I thought this palette would be a good alternative. This palette has 3 shimmer shades in it and six matte shades. The shades in this palette are a lot darker than the warm brown palette with just one lighter shade, so this palette would definitely be good for more smokey looks. I am so excited to play around with this palette especially to use the pink/purple shimmer shade as it looks so pretty.

I think these palettes are so cute and because they are quite small would be easy to travel with or pop in your handbag. I think Huda beauty have done really well with these palettes as they have created four very different palettes to suit a range of different people. I also think for such a high quality beauty brand these palettes are well priced. Although the palettes are £25, you are paying for a high quality product that works.

If you have been lusting over these palettes for a while I would definitely say take the plunge, I love them already and definitely hope to try the smokey obsessions palette in the future.
