Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI would definitely say that lipstick is one of my favourite make up products ever but I am quite picky about what I wear. I hate wearing products that come off all over the place and leave lipstick marks on everything – which is why I wear lipcote on top of most of my lipsticks. However, I love a liquid lipstick they are so easy to wear and usually I don’t need to wear lipcote on top as they dry down and don’t move.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI recently got three new liquid lipsticks which I wanted to tell you about, starting with the Too Faced Melted Matte Long wear Liquid Lipstick (what a mouthful of a name!). I already have one of these lipsticks in the shade Cool Girl and it is one of my holy grail lipsticks. Having loved this lipstick so much I knew I wanted to try some of the other shades and when Christmas shopping last year I had a look in Debenhams and swatched some of the other colours.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI fell in love with the colour Sell Out and have finally got my hands on it. This lipstick is still a nude like Cool Girl however it is more of a pink nude than a brown nude, so it’s a nice change. I love these lipsticks as they are so low maintenance. You can literally put this lipstick on in the morning and almost forget about it because you rarely if ever need to top it up. The pink nude colour is beautiful and can definitely be worn daytime and night time and I personally think would suit a huge range of skin tones. I also love the packaging of the melted matte lipsticks, the glass triangle bottom looks so nice with the gold writing on it. The product looks high end and the product inside definitely lives up to that!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe next product I want to talk about is the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips Liquid Lipstick in the colour Too Bad I’m Bad. This lipstick comes in a beautiful rose gold tube (it looks ridiculously high end!) and is a beautiful pink colour with a hint of nude. I love this product, the colour is beautiful and looks lovely on the lips. I absolutely love Charlotte Tilbury as a brand and had not tried the Hollywood lips before but after swatching this product in the store in Westfield London, I fell in love with it. The product is quite small so is perfect for popping into your handbag on a night out.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe one thing I would say about this lipstick though is that the colour on the website/ in pictures doesn’t necessarily match the colour of the actual lipstick (I found this across the range of Hollywood lips). The colour of this lipstick in pictures would have mean’t I would have avoided trying it, however when swatched this product was beautiful and definitely something I would wear. I would definitely say if you want to try a Hollywood Liquid Lip, go and swatch the products if you can because they look so different on to in the tube and in photos!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI would also note that these lipsticks are extremely creamy so take a long time to dry, so I often use lipcote on top of this one to speed up the process, before I end up smudging it everywhere!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe final product I want to talk about is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in the shade Dazed. This lipstick is slightly different to the two mentioned above as I went for more of a burnt red shade. This shade is something I felt I lacked in my collection and I literally chose it on the website without seeing it, which was risky. However my risk paid off as the colour is stunning and I absolutely love it! I love that its a burnt red brown as you can wear it in the daytime and the evening and would not look out of place.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetAll three of these lipsticks are beautiful and I can’t wait to wear them more. I definitely thing the three brands have created some really lovely products. I have linked all the products above for anyone that wants to have a closer look as well.
