Mac Mineralize Skinfinish

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetAs most of you know i’m a little bit obsessed with make up. I collect it like it’s going out of fashion and probably have a lot more than I need. I just love experimenting and trying different looks with different colours. I think I started getting into make up properly when I was about 16. Which is strange considering my mum was a make up artist, you’d think I’d have been into it earlier. I suppose I’ve always been into girly things like make up but I wouldn’t say i’m a girly girl at all!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI’ve gone off on a bit of a tangent here but my point was when I was sixteen I think the first proper bits of makeup I had were from Mac and 5 years down the line I still have an array of Mac products that I love. In May last year it was my best friends birthday and I was there when she was opening some of her gifts. She opened this present from her boyfriend and it was a Mac skinfinish powder and when she showed me I fell in love with it! It was one of the most unique make up products I’d ever seen – I mean I couldn’t even figure out what type of product it was, I just knew it looked beautiful!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe powder when straight on my wish list and this Christmas my best friend surprised me with it, I was so shocked as I didn’t expect it! The product comes in beautiful packaging with a clear lid so that you can see the product inside. The product is a beautiful pearl colour with oranges, greens and blues weaving through in a marble effect – it’s truly stunning!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI was shocked by just how big this product is, it’s about the size of my palm. Definitely amazing value for money at £24.50 because this product is never going to run out! When I used this product for the first time I was blown away, it gives the most beautiful metallic highlight that isn’t in your face at all. It looks beautiful applied on top of the cheekbones as it gives a really soft iridescent look.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe mineralize skinfinish powders come in a range of colours but I’ve got it in Lightscapade. The name of this product really sums up the colour inside as it really is a mix of beautiful bright but light colours… if that makes sense? This product really is unique and having not used the Mac Mineralize skinfinish before I was super surprised. I can definitely see this product fast becoming one of my holy grail products! I mean this product isn’t new to the market or anything, it’s just new to me so I wanted to share a review with you all.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThis product is absolutely stunning and I would definitely recommend it to anyone, even if you’re buying it as a gift for someone else. I mean I want to give a big thank you to my amazing best friend for surprising me with it… I love it!

I love Lightscapade too! This thing will never hit pan, by the way *LOL* I haven’t hit pan even when I use it excessively + dusting it onto my body.
