The Perfect Valentines Highlight!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetIt’s a beautiful sunny Sunday morning. I’ve had a bit of a slow one although feel like I’ve accomplished quite a lot. I thought it was time to sit down and write another blog post. I want to talk about the Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighters and although I got these for Christmas, I wanted to wait until now to talk about them as I thought they would be perfect for valentines day!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe first time I saw these highlighters it was on facebook where my best friend had tagged me in the announcement video. I knew from the second I saw them I would love to have them in my make up collection, they were the most beautiful things I had ever seen! In fact the first time I did manage to get my hands on one of them was for my best friends birthday back in May. As they had only just been released I found it really difficult to get my hands on one for her, but after searching for ages I managed to buy the gold one in You Light Up My Life.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI remember receiving it and really wanting to swatch it, but restrained myself as it was a present! She absolutely loved it when she got it and then I knew I had to get my hands on some. It took my a while to finally get the highlighters but when I did I was so excited! I got the rose gold highlighter in Ray of light and the silver/white highlighter in Blinded by the Light.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI swatched these highlighters in the shop and oh my god they are so pigmented and shimmery, I was completely shocked! I had read some reviews that said that these highlighters weren’t very pigmented and didn’t have very good pay off. However, with everything I think its better to form your own opinions on something rather than being completed led by others. And let me tell you, i’m so glad I formed my own opinion on this because I could have missed out on owning two of the most beautiful highlighters.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThese highlighters also come in the most beautiful packaging. They come in a heart shaped metallic packaging which looks so high end and I love that the packaging matches the colour of the highlighter inside. The highlighter inside has a 3D prismatic effect which looks so cool, basically I love these highlighters if you hadn’t already guessed. Although these highlighters are £25 which I would say is quite pricey. However if you are in the market for a high-end highlighter that gives amazing pay off I would 100% recommend the love light highlighters.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI am quite pale but both of the highlighters I bought suit my skin tone which is a miracle in itself and I think the gold highlighter would suit me as well however I think that one is more suited to olive skin tones.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetAnyway I thought I would write about these highlighters now as they are heart shaped so perfect for valentines! Also, if you are looking to treat your other half or even yourself this valentines have a look at these highlighters because they are so beautiful and some of my favourites. Plus Cult Beauty have just started stocking Too Faced on their website… YES!
