My skin has been a bit of a mess recently and to be honest it’s really irritating me. I used to suffer with bad skin as a teenager and ever since then it’s been manageable. In the last couple of years my skin has been the best it has ever been. The past couple of weeks though I’ve had a few break outs which i’ve been trying to deal with.
I wanted to write this post about the products I started using about a year ago which have really changed my skin care routine. Elemis isn’t really a brand I had tried before but my mum had loved the brand for years and suggested I try it, and kindly bought me a selection of products as a well done for some of my uni grades.
Ever since I started using the products I have loved every single one. The Elemis products are the first high end skincare products that I have used and I can definitely tell the difference between high end and high street skincare.
I want to talk about the skin buff first as this is probably one of my favourite products. It’s a scrub that has the smallest grains in it which makes it super easy to scrub your face while actually feeling like the grains are doing something. A little goes a long way with this product, you only need like a 20p piece per use, which means the tube will last ages. When I use the skin buff, my skin always feels amazing after. I tend to use this product twice a week, just to make sure that I don’t over scrub my skin which could make it worse than before.
The cleanser and toner feel so luxurious. I had only ever used simple cleanser and toner before, which don’t get me wrong are great products that work, but trying these product blew me away. The cleanser does exactly what it says on the bottle and that is soothe. The cleanser makes me skin feel, soft nourished and soothed, it also smells amazing! Again you don’t need to use much of this product, but a small amount on cotton wool just rejuvenates the skin.
The toner works hand in hand with the cleanser and again soothes the skin. This product I use a little more of, just because it gets absorbed by the cotton wool. I tend to spray some on the cotton wool and then some straight onto my face before wiping it off. This product feels like on the skin but really feels like it gives the skin a good clean. My skin always feels amazing after using this.
The face mask is a product I always reach for if my skin is feeling a bit dull or clogged up or if i’ve got a little bit of a break out. The fruit active mask applies really lightly and dries down onto the skin, I tend to wash it off after about 20-30 minutes with warm water. My skin has never felt so clean after I use this, it feels radiant, soft and just damn right amazing! The mask smells amazing and you can just feel it working.
I love pairing this mask with the herbal lavender repair mask (which would be in the pictures but I completely finished the tube!) which helps soothe and break outs and helps reduce blemishes. I really thought I wouldn’t like the lavender mask as I don’t really like lavender however, it doesn’t smell intensely of lavender but has more of a herbal smell (which sounds gross but is actually so relaxing!).
Finally, I wanted to talk about the sensitive skin was which is actually a new product for me, which I have only used a couple of times. Recently I have just been using a high street face wash which does the job. However after my skin break out my mum suggested I try this product (which she let me borrow) and it is so nice. You only need to use a small amount as with a small amount of warm water this product lathers up. This product is great for sensitive skin and it made my skin feel cleaner than it has in ages!
Basically if you hadn’t already guessed I love Elemis products and definitely feel it is a worthwhile purchase. These products have transformed my skin and helped me to feel so confident!
