It’s been so so cold recently and I am just not used to it. I mean yes it does get cold in England, but I haven’t seen the temperature hit -6 during the day for a very long time. These long cold days have definitely taken it’s toll on my skin and I have noticed just how dry it has been getting.
I mean I wouldn’t say my skin is particularly dry but these last few months I have noticed such a difference. In my stocking for Christmas this year I was given a Calcot Manor dry oil body spray. I’m not usually a fan of oil as I find it really greasy and really quite irritating. However, because this oil is a dry oil it soaks into the skin nicely and doesn’t leave a greasy layer on the skin! This is one of the most amazing products and is super nourishing on the skin, I just love it.
Again for Christmas I was gifted a Sanctuary travel bag type thing. I have used Sanctuary products before and loved them, so it was lovely to have some smaller versions. The Sanctuary body wash is probably one of my favourite products as it has bursting beads in it. I love the feel of bursting beads on my skin and it makes showering a lot more fun. As childish as that sounds. It’s also a relaxing feeling having bursting beads in you’re shower gel, it makes you feel super clean.
The body scrub is also something I really like. The orange smell is amazing, but this product really does work as a scrub and is quite gritty, which is super! This scrub is super gentle but also feels like it is working. I like to use this scrub once a week, if i remember as it helps to rejuvenate my skin! However, I am super bad at remembering to scrub and moisturise so sometimes this routine goes out the window!
The final product I want to talk about is the Sanctuary body lotion, which again is something I really like. I love the smell of Sanctuary products as there is something so relaxing about them. So when using the lotion that smell lasts a lot longer than just in the shower which is amazing. Body lotion is something I often forget to do, however when I put this lotion on I remember just why I need to! This lotion is light but super moisturising and makes your skin feel soft and hydrated. I am definitely going to be trying to remember to use body lotion a lot more frequently!
As you can probably tell, I am not the best at remembering to use all my skin care products as it can be super time consuming, however when I do I remember just why I need to! Looking after my skin helps make me feel amazing and i’m going to make it my mission to remember to do it more and try lots of new products!
