Holy Grail Haircare!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI wanted to write a post about my new haircare as in the last few months I’ve been trying really hard to keep my hair in good condition so it grows, and it’s worked!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI am a person who tends to use heat on my hair everyday, especially with straighteners. My straighteners broke recently and GHD were so good! I contacted them to say my straighteners had broken but that I didn’t have a receipt or anything. They got me to send the broken straighteners to them free of charge and sent me a brand new pair back… amazing, such good customer service! This kind of service is what you want from brands!

However, this kind of heat does take it’s toll on hair and my hair was starting to suffer from some breakage. Not something you want when you’re trying to grow your hair.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetTo tackle this I began using the Toni&Guy Hair Protection Mist and oh my it is amazing! I started using this in January and have already used a whole bottle and had to repurchase. I spritz this all over my hair and then comb it through (it smells amazing) and it protects your hair from any heat, such as hairdryers or straighteners. It’s also super easy to spray all over your head so that you don’t miss any patches. Ever since using this I have noticed such a difference in my hair. It feels stronger, sleeker and a lot smoother rather than frazzled on the ends!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetAs well as the heat protection spray I have religiously used the Aussie leave in conditioner spray. This is a holy grail product for me and I’m pretty sure i’ve used it for the last 5 years solidly. I use this product every single time I was my hair. I spray it on damp hair, leave for a couple of minutes and comb through. It makes it so easy to comb through as my hair is not knotty after using it. I literally cannot survive without this product and I definitely notice if I’ve forgotten to put it on. This product is also relatively inexpensive but definitely worth the money. I would 100% recommend this product to anyone.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetFinally I wanted to talk about the VO5 volume mousse. A mousse is not something I had really tried before but as I have quite thin but a lot of hair it tends to be a bit lack-lustre. This product just helps to give my hair a little bit of a lift. I don’t use this product all the time just on like a night out, however I do notice a difference. I use a pump of this on my hand and use it on the roots of my hair. I would love to here some other recommendations for how to get volume into thin hair as I do find this product a little bit fiddly to use.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI hope this has helped anyone who is trying to grow their hair and I would 100% recommend the Aussie conditioning spray and the Toni&Guy hair protection mist… these products are so amazing!

Love this post – rarely see haircare routines so this is super helpful! I use heat nearly every day, and I would really recommend the Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protection as well – it smells incredible and really helps save my hair!
