Favourite Pink Eyeshadows!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI wanted to write a blog post about my newish obsession with pink/purple toned eyeshadow. I have a not-so-secret obsession with eyeshadow but recently I have been gravitating towards the pink and purple shades.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetLuckily for me I have two amazing palettes that can fulfil these desires. I have always loved the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette but recently I have been using it more and more and loving it. I love the slightly darker shades that have more subtle purple undertones such as the colours Liar, Factory and Mugshot. Also I love a shimmer/glitter eyeshadow so I just go all out with these colours on my eyes. I also love to use the lighter shades such as Buzz or Trick on more of a daily basis when I want more of a subtle look.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetAlthough I love this palette I tend to steer away from the two darker shades at the end because I worry I’ll put them on and ruin my whole makeup look. I really want to start experimenting more with my eyeshadow so would love to here some tips about how to use the darker colours in an eyeshadow palette. If you have any tips please do let me know in the comments!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetAnother palette I have been loving a lot recently is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. This palette is so versatile but I love the really bright pinky/reds called Love Letter and Venetian Red. These colours are so fun to use and really make your eyeshadow pop and really stand out! In this palette I especially love the Antique Bronze colour which is like a taupe/brown purple pink (what an awful description!) as it has a shimmer in it and can be worn on its own for a simple look or spruced up with some of the darker colours.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThis palette does have a lot of fallout however is super pigmented so I would suggest doing your eye makeup before the rest of your face. However this palette is so amazing and I am desperate to get my hands on the new soft glam eyeshadow palette as the colours in this look insane!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetAnyway I wanted to write this post as I am loving these eyeshadows at the moment and wanted to give some inspiration to those who may be a bit bored of their eyeshadow.
