New-In Elemis!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI know I only wrote a blog post about Elemis a few weeks ago but I have discovered and rediscovered some super products that I am loving and wanted to share with you all. As you know I love skincare and think it is super important to look after your skin, I mean if you want to look good and feel great about yourself it’s a no brainer right?

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI want to mention first the Herbal Lavender Mask, which I have used before. I recently repurchased as I had completely run out and it’s such a lovely soothing mask. It applies lightly and drys down onto the face. It smells amazing and really makes me feel relaxed – I suppose that is down to the lavender in it! I normally leave this on for about 30 minutes just to make sure it really works, I mean i’m not sure if this is how long you’re supposed to leave it on for and whether thats too long or short, but it works for me. I’ve even heard you can put it on and wear it overnight for a deeper clean. The thing I love about this mask is that its very subtle and not going to overstimulate your skin. It helps to soothe any irritation and generally leave you face feel soft, smooth and nourished.  I love to use the Fruit Active Rejuvenating Mask first and then follow up with the Herbal Lavender Mask.

Let me tell you, I have tried my fair share of moisturisers and have found it so hard to find one that works for me. If it is too rich it doesn’t agree with my skin and if it’s too watery I find my face greasy around two hours after applying. So I thought it was time to try a higher end product – not that there is anything wrong with drug store, I do regularly use the Simple Light Moisturiser. When I discovered the Hydra-Balance Day Cream I instantly loved it, it’s light, soft and absorbs into the skin fairly quickly. Although this is a fairly expensive moisturiser, you only need to use a 5p piece amount and you will have enough to cover your whole face. This moisturiser also doesn’t have a chemical smell, it doesn’t really have an overpowering smell at all.

I wanted to try a facial wash that I could use in the shower and I thought this would be perfect as it’s foaming. I was using a witch hazel facial wash but I wasn’t really getting on with it, so wanted to try something different. Again, although expensive I find you only need to use a really small amount each time – so hopefully the tube will last me a good amount of time, plus the tube is quite big! The product is quite thick in consistency, so it is quite easy to squeeze out to much, but with a bit of water it lathers well. The facial wash feels smooth on the skin and spreads well, it really feels like it is cleaning your face really well!
