Shimmer and Shine with Mac!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetSo the weather has been dull recently…rainy, cloudy and all over cold! The sun is starting to come out and shine but my skin is not shining. My summer tan is long gone and has been replaced with a white blank canvas that needs decorating! I’m not really one for fake tan as I find it quite high maintenance but it would be nice to have a bit more of a glow now and then. As most of you know, I love highlighters of all kind so I wanted to write a post about my favourite Mac products that make you shine!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI do really like Mac makeup and they do produce some of the prettiest products. I want to talk about the Mac Skin Base Visage which I have loved for over two years, thanks to my best friend introducing it to me! This product I wear as a primer but it is so shimmery! I apply this all over my face and rub in before applying my foundation. It makes my base look flawless and gives me a beautiful natural glow that lights up my face. When i’m going out out I always wear this product as it ramps up your makeup and makes it look stunning. This product retails for £22.50

This is my favourite ever blush and leaves the most beautiful pink tone topped with a beautiful gold shimmer. I wouldn’t say blush is my favourite make up product but this one is absolutely beautiful. I like to use a real techniques blush which I swirl around the dome shape and then put around three swipes on each cheek – that is literally all you need. The rosey hue lies on the cheeks while the gold shimmer shines beautifully on the cheekbone! This product retails for £23

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetOnto Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade. I wrote a post about this not too long ago so I won’t go on about this one too much, but I couldn’t not mention it again. This product is so versatile and amazing. This product looks beautiful in the pan with the different colours swirled into each other. I mainly use this product as a highlighter but you could definitely use it all over your face if you want to. I use a highlighter brush to brush this product onto the tops of the cheekbones, down the nose and on the top of the lips. It leaves the most beautiful white shimmer that sparkles in the light. It’s almost creates the most natural glow with a hint of sass! This product retails at £25.50

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe final product I want to talk about is the Cream Colour Base in Hush. I’m not going to lie I’m not actually sure of the intended use of this product, however I’ve found my own ways to use it! Mac describe this colour as a soft peach with an icy base and I couldn’t agree more. It provides a very subtle shimmer. As this is a cream product I apply this where I would apply highlighter alone for more of a daytime look , or if i’m going for a fuller makeup look I apply this and then put powder highlighter on top. This product can be so versatile and could definitely be used on the eyes and lips as well as the face. I am definitely looking forward to having a play around with this product because the colour is beautiful! This product retails for £19, which I personally don’t think is too bad for such a versatile product.
