Spring Nails!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI’ll start from the beginning. I’ve had acrylic nails in the past and just had them done at random nail bars, yes the nails were okay but they were never like what I would see on instagram where people would have all sorts of glitter, gems and colour. So I did stop wearing them for a while and just painted my natural nails. Although my natural nails are okay, they aren’t very strong and tend to break when I grow them at any length and if I do manage to get them to a good length they are all funny shapes and not very uniform. This was something I found very frustrating!

My nail tech is absolutely amazing, she knows exactly what I like and gives me the most amazing nails every time, whether I want more subtle or really out there nails she always delivers! I have had all sorts of amazing colours, glitters and in my current set i’ve even got gems!

Also my nail tech is super, she always makes sure that my nails look amazing but are doing minimal damage to my natural nails. She is highly trained and definitely knows what she is doing! That is one thing I would say… if you are planning on getting acrylic nails done, research research and do more research! Make sure you go to a respected salon/nail tech to make sure you get the nails you want and don’t end up being one of the horror stories.

I love mine, they are super strong super pretty and I get to change the colour and style frequently which I love. I will mention the upkeep though. I get my nails infilled between 3-5 weeks because anything longer doesn’t only not look great but can cause breakage where there is such a big amount of growth that needs infilling. My nail salon charge £40 for a set, £25 for infills and £5 if you just want a repaint in between infills.

You can have a range of shapes, colours, patterns etc. You name it, you can get it done with acrylic! It’s super easy to be creative and fun and allows you to try new things! If you have any other questions about acrylic nails do let me know in the comments!
