Pink Palette of Dreams – Urban Decay Backtalk

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetSo i’ve really been struggling with the whole blogging thing recently. Not so much the writing side of it as that seems to come naturally. However, i’m really struggling with my photography, I am a perfectionist and like all my photos to look uniform and fit a theme. You can sense where this is going…. I took a whole lot of photos a couple of weeks bag of some amazing products that I had treated myself to and bought my friend for her birthday. It’s only when I looked back through the photos and went to edit them that I noticed that the sun had left an annoying yellow tinge! Pair that with despair of wanting to improve my photography anyone and you’ve got one slightly annoyed blogger!

However, i’ve decided to not care if my instagram isn’t as uniform as usual, these photos are of products I genuinely love and want to share with you! So sod it, i’m going to share them and be pleased with the content I create. Also i’ve decided to give my photography a shimmy anyway and try something different! I mean variety is the spice of life right?

Urban Decay was the first high end makeup brand I ever bought, when I got the Naked Palette. Since then I have gone on to try and love many of their products and todays post is no different.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetIt was my friends birthday so I decided to buy her the Backtalk palette that Urban Decay had just released. I love UD palettes and this one looked just as amazing! Its an eyeshadow and highlighter/blushed palette all in one. When it arrived I was stunned at how amazing it looked, the palette has four big highlighters/blushers and eight different eyeshadows, with pink being the main colour focus. The colours in this palette all complement each other, and I think my favourite colours are probably Party Foul, Bare and Curve. I mean I love a shimmery pink colour!

Also, as it’s detachable it means you can hold the lightweight mirror up when doing your makeup, without having to hold the palette up as well, reducing the change of eyeshadow spillage on your clothes… something which I end up doing all the time!

This mini lipstick is a gorgeous pink shade with slightly cool undertones if that makes sense. Its one of those beautiful lipsticks which has a bit of a ‘your lips but better’ kind of vibe! It’s definitely a lipstick I am going to be buying in full size once I have finished the mini!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI was also going to give a review of the Naked Skin Colour Corrector in this post but as it’s already quite lengthy and I am currently trying out an UD foundation, i’m going to save my thoughts for that blog post if that’s okay!
