The ABH Norvina Palette!

Anastasia Beverly Hills is a well known international makeup brand and have produced some of the most amazing products, so it was no surprise that when they released the Norvina eyeshadow palette, people went mad for it. Including me.

ABH always get it right with palettes and since having the Modern Renaissance (which is amazing), I knew that the Norvina palette would be just as good. Having had my eye on it for ages, my amazing bestie brought it back for me from the states. I didn’t know she was bringing it back for me but was so excited when she gave it to me, as it had been on my wish list for ages!

Using this palette for the first time was so exciting because the palette includes a range of cool tones purples, pinks and browns, which the company themselves describe as whimsical. I was a bit dubious to start with about how versatile this palette would be because some of the colours scared me a little bit. However, so many looks can be created with this palette, that can be worn day or night.

I love that the top row of shadows in this palette are thick shimmer/glitter and the bottom row of shadows are all matte. All the shadows in this palette are so pigmented and give really good pay off on the eye. Although there is a lot of fallout, which can make a bit of a mess. I would say the fallout is the same as that of the Modern Renaissance Palette, so I would guess that ABH’s formula to get good pay off requires a lot of fall out. So if that is something that annoys you, then this palette probably isn’t the best for you.

Since using this palette, I have been able to create so many versatile looks to suit my mood or time of day. Recently i’ve been loving wearing Volatile all over my lid with Passion brushed through the crease. Not only is this a super wearable day look but it adds enough definition to create a bit of drama on the eyes without being too much.

I don’t want to go on too much about this palette, other than to say that I absolutely love it and was super surprised that I love it as much as I do. So if you’re thinking about treating yourself (as the palette is slightly pricey at £43) I would say go for it. I have been able to use most of the shadows super easily and cannot wait to experiment with it a bit more!

I’d love to know what palettes you are loving at the moment, let me know in the comments. Anyway, as always I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Also if you haven’t already, check out my social media as I use it to update you all on new blog posts!

p.s. how cute is the velvety packaging though!

I brought this palette for my best friends 21st and she loved it! It definitely seems more versatile when you get to see the colours up close, and the packaging is gorgeous!

I 100% agree, up close the colours are so much easier to work with and a lot more versatile than they first appear!
