So I haven’t actually written a blog post in about a week because I’ve spent the weekend celebrating one of my best friends hen do’s! However, I’m back and wanted to write a post about ways to wear an all white outfit. I love an all white outfit and always think they look so good when i’m scrolling through instagram, however until recently I’ve always found a white outfit hard to pull off.
The first tip I’ve got is to decide which white items you are going to match together. I decided to go for some white jamie jeans from Topshop, a strappy white top with some stripe detail and a white circle bag for a mix of shapes. I went for quite simple white items because I wanted the colour to stand out rather than the style. I think this is a good way to make a simple outfit stand out.
My second tip is if you don’t want to rock a completely white outfit then add a pop of colour. Adding a pop of colour made me more confident to rock this outfit. I recently got this pink New Look jacket and have been wearing it constantly because it’s perfect for this time of year! It’s a lovely suede material which helps add texture to the outfit and the bright pink colour helps to make the white outfit pop!
The final tip I’ve got is to go for a completely different coloured pair of shoes. This helps to tone down the outfit and pull the look together. I went for a pair of heeled Steve Madden sandals for a more dressed up summer look and I absolutely loved it! You could however dress it down with a cool pair of trainers or pop it with heels for an evening out. This has definitely been one of my favourite summer looks this year!
It’s been such an experiment for me moving away from very monochrome outfits and bringing in more white and colour and I am loving it. I would love to know how you style up a white outfit and if there are any key accessories I am missing. Let me know!
