As I said it one of my previous posts I’ve been super stressed recently and not only has that taken its toll on my mental health but it has also taken its toll on my skin. I’ve had a worse than normal breakout which has left me feeling rubbish. I really had to look at my skincare carefully and find products that were going to soothe my skin rather than aggravate it. So as I love this brand, I turned to Elemis to calm my angry skin.
Elemis is definitely one of my favourite skincare brands and one I turn to regularly. I was actually gifted this travel set for my birthday and thought I would give some of the products a go to help ease my breakout.
As my skin is prone to being slightly more sensitive, I thought I would give the rose cleansing balm a go as I had heard the rose can be very calming. I hadn’t tried a balm before and it was quite thick. In order to get the most out of the product I did have to mix it with a little bit of water. I’ve been using this product for a couple of weeks now and love it. My skin feels clean and refreshed after using it without there being a greasy residue left behind.
After using the rose cleansing balm, I thought I would treat my skin to a mask. I had actually used the Peptide Thousand Flower Mask before and it really worked for my skin without drying it out, so I was really excited to have another travel size.
This mask is quite thin and black in colour, but is easy to apply and spread. I remember using this mask for the first time and it has the strangest texture. It’s like nothing I’ve ever used before. However, It feels lovely on the skin and really feels like it dries up and soothes any areas of breakout while ensuring the rest of your skin is calm.
These were the main two products I have used to help calm my skin and my goodness they have worked wonders. I mean obviously my skin hasn’t completely cleared up, but I will keep going with these lovely products and my other Elemis favourites!
I haven’t actually used the eye mask or the shower cream yet, so perhaps a pamper night is needed. I’ve found it tricky for a long time to find products that work well with my skin, so I’m so glad I found Elemis. However, I’d love to know any other recommendations for amazing skincare brands that help with troubled skin!
