I haven’t written a blog post in a few months and in all honesty I’ve been enjoying the easing of restrictions and being able to spend time with friends and family. However over the last couple of months off blogging I have been trying Glossybox with my friend. Having been using the subscription for three months I wanted to give an honest review of Glossybox.
Glossybox is a makeup subscription service that gets delivered every month with about 5 products in it, all of varying prices. Although you don’t get to choose the products, the overall value of the products is more than you pay for the monthly subscription it’s value for money is really great.
The box comes through the post and you get email reminders to tell you when it’s on it way, which makes the process that little bit more exciting. The products come in the loveliest packaging. They are wrapped carefully in gorgeous tissue paper and tied together with a bow in a sturdy, pretty pink Glossybox box with comes with an overview card of all the products. Also, some months are themed which means the boxes are decorated in the coolest patterns!
As Valentine’s Day was in February, Glossybox created a really fun retro mixtape box! The box included special tissue paper, different coloured ribbon and a cool design on the front of the box. The box included 5 products: Bubble Tea Peach Bellini Hand Cream, Steve Laurent Lip Mask, Avant Sugar Lip Scrub, Rose Gua Sha and a redlip pencil.
I haven’t loved every single product that comes in the boxes, which has worried me slightly as I don’t want to be wasting products, I am usually able to pass them onto friends and family. However, on the whole I have really loved getting to try new products or brands I haven’t tried before and that I probably wouldn’t have tried if I wasn’t using the subscription service.
As far as subscription boxes go I think this one is really well priced at £13.25 for a one month rolling subscription or £11.75 a month for a 12 month subscription. Often one or two of the products in the box make up this price meaning you get the remaining products for free!
I also love that each month there is such a variety of products and I didn’t receive the same item twice which was really nice. On one of the months, one of the products hadn’t arrived at the warehouse in time and although this was disappointing Glossybox replaced it with an equally great product and the first product got put into a later month’s box.
Overall, I think Glossybox is a great subscription if you are looking at trying out new beauty products at an affordable price. I also think the subscription would make a great gift for someone to receive as it’s so lovely to receive for a few months!
Glossybox also have limited edition boxes, collaboration boxes and skincare available to, so the brand really have lots of exciting things on offer!
I’ve now got three months worth of lovely products which i’m excited to try! I hope this blog post has been helpful and I’d love to know if there are any other subscription boxes out there that I should be trying.
Also if you love trying out new makeup products as much as I do, have a read of My April Favourites.
