As a person with a full time job, I am often very busy meaning I sometimes don’t have time to spruce myself up for an evening/night out (unless of course it’s the weekend!). There have been a few Friday’s where I have had to dash home and get changed super quickly and still hope that I look nice by the end of it. However, I think I have nailed my quick night out outfit, so I thought I would share it with you!
Step 1 – Invest in a tailored pair of trousers. Although you might be thinking for a night out? tailored trousers can help create a sophisticated yet stylish look. I would suggest going for a bright colour, if you want to make your outfit fun and like you spent a long time styling it. I tend to go for high waisted trousers just because that is the style I prefer.
Step 2 – Invest in an off the shoulder crop top. I find an off the shoulder top looks great with tailored trousers, making your outfit look effortless. I find if you have gone for bright trousers, go for a block colour like black or white, as this will help make the trousers stand out. Also to add a bit of texture to an outfit you could go for a ribbed crop top.
Step 3 – Wear stilettos. Stilettos help create a sleek look and can turn pretty much any outfit from day to night. I tend to go for stilettos that match one of the colours in my outfit (top or trousers) as I like all areas of my outfit to coordinate. Top tip – don’t wear stilettos that are too high if you are doing lots of walking/dancing because you won’t last all night!
Step 4 – Buy a simple clutch bag that will go with lots of your outfits. A clutch bag really brings an evening outfit together and again takes an outfit from day to night. I tend to go for black with clutch bags as I think it goes with a lot of outfits. To add a bit of ‘wow’ i’ve got a clutch that has a suede type top again to add some texture. I tend to go for a medium sized clutch to help add some drama.
There we have it, my top tips for creating and styling a quick and easy evening outfit, that can be thrown on in under five minutes and still look amazing! Also for that extra drama, I tend to add some hoop earrings!
Anyway, as always I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Also if you haven’t already, check out my social media as I use it to update you all on new blog posts!
