It’s been a while since I wrote a blog post about Charlotte Tilbury, so I thought it was about time that I got back on it. Charlotte Tilbury have created so many beautiful makeup products that I use on the daily. I wanted to write a blog post about how you can get the perfect summer glow with Charlotte Tilbury.
Charlotte Tilbury not only create amazing makeup but they also have a really lovely luxurious skincare range. So, the first step to creating glowing skin for summer is to address your skincare. It’s only recently that I’ve got more into skincare as a result of my upcoming wedding!
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream is a luxurious moisturiser that is quite pricey and comes in a *slightly* extravagant pot (who doesn’t love a bit of extravagance though?). It is quite a thick rich moisturiser so if you have slightly more sensitive skin I would definitely say less is more, otherwise you can end up drowning your skin. However, this product rubs in really well and helps to moisturise skin without leaving a greasy residue. I really love this product for when my skin is feeling dull and tired and needs a bit of a pick me up.
To go with the magic cream I like to use the Charlotte Tilbury Rescue Eye Cream. This product is a different consistency than the face cream and is not so thick around the more delicate areas of the eye. This product is very sticky and light and again applies with ease. This product does leave a sticky residue behind, however, it is very soft on the skin, absorbs nicely and leaves the eye area looking refreshed, hydrated and plump.
After using these products your skin should feel refreshed, hydrated and ready for make up. The next product to achieve that summer glow is a fairly new product to me and is Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow. Now, I was unsure if this product would add anything to my make up routine but now I genuinely couldn’t live without it. It’s a bronze shimmer primer base that you can apply in selected areas or all over the face for a bronzy glow.
Wonder Glow is so light on the skin that you can barely feel it and along with the fact that it isn’t greasy makes for a great primer. I could literally slather this all over my face as it achieves the perfect summer glow!
Now onto makeup of which I have two products, the Light Wonder Foundation and the Filmstar Bronze and Glow Palette. I’ll start with the foundation which is one of my holy grail products in the summer. This foundation is super light and glowy and also has added SPF meaning you are looking after your skin while looking good with this product. It blends easily and is great if you don’t want a particularly heavy foundation on!
I would say however that if you don’t want this product to move because it is so light, I would use a setting spray over the top to settle it.
Finally, onto the Filmstar Bronze and Glow Palette which is my absolute holy grail face palette. I use this almost every day and have already finished one and am on to my second! The bronzer is matte, so it’s really easy to contour the hollows of your face to make the highlighted areas stand out. It’s super easy to apply and blend and leaves you with a beaut contoured look.
The highlighter in this palette is something else. It is so light and weightless that it shimmers in the light without having big chunks of highlighter stuck to your skin. It is quite a natural colour so helps add a beautiful glow that shimmers in the sunlight without looking fake. It adds a nice pop of highlight that you can wear during the day or build up for a night out look! It really is stunning!
As you can tell Charlotte Tilbury really are one of my favourite make up brands and I really rate all the products I’ve tried from them. All the products mentioned I use regularly and mostly together to create the perfect summer glow!
I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post and it’s inspired you to create a glowy summer look (something which I love the look of!). Also if you haven’t already, check out my social media as I use it to update you all on new blog posts!
