So it’s been a while, I don’t think I’ve posted on here in over a month! I have been crazy busy with work, being a bridesmaid for one of my best friends and have had hundreds of birthdays. All of which have been so super fun, but I am more than ready to sit down and get back to blogging! As there are still some remnants of summer left, I wanted to kick things off with a post about achieving a summery look with the bardot style.
Outfit Details: Top – Miss Selfridge, Jeans – Topshop, Bag – River Island, Shoes – ASOS, Sunglasses – Accessorize
The bardot style is so versatile as you can get it in tops, dresses and playsuits jumpsuits etc. I mostly wear the bardot style in tops as I can then mix and match my styling depending on the weather and how I’m feeling. A bardot top is a great way to jazz up jeans, especially on the cooler days during the inevitable English summer.
I find the bardot style is one that suits almost anyone. The style sits just off the shoulder, tightening to stay in place often with ruching to add more feminine detail. Having your décolletage on show can often be very pretty and adds something to an outfit where you would otherwise be completely covered up. It is a very pretty style, and can be worn during the day or for a night out. I have lots of bardot style crop tops that I love wearing out!
Bardot tops are great for the summer because as well as being stylish they are light and airy meaning on hotter days, having your shoulders out can help to keep you cool. The bardot style is especially effective in dresses where a range of looks can be created. Long floaty dresses can be created as well as shorter more bodycon style, the list really is endless.
The bardot style is one of my favourite to wear in summer and I am definitely thinking of investing in some more pieces. In the summer I wear a bardot style so frequently! Anyway if you want to have a look for yourself the ASOS website is definitely a good place to start!
Bardot is obviously a style I love, but I would love to know what your go to summer styles are! Let me know in the comments below!
I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post and it’s inspired you to create a glowy summer look (something which I love the look of!). Also if you haven’t already, check out my social media as I use it to update you all on new blog posts!
