The weather has turned colder and autumn has most definitely arrived. Although I’m usually a bronze and gold eye makeup type of girl, I do love a taupe/purple look. The Dior Backstage Palette in colour 2, is the perfect cool toned palette for this time of year.
The palette is made up of eight cool toned colours and one eye primer. Four of the colours are matte and four of the colours are shimmer. I noticed that in this palette that each shimmer colour has a corresponding matte colour, so if i’m after a quick look I only need to use two shades.
However, if I wanted to go for a full eye makeup look all these colours work really well with each other and the primer really helps the eyeshadow to stay put.
This was my first Dior makeup product and I was pleasantly surprised. I had seen Lydia Elise Millen raving about these palettes and the amber neutrals one looked amazing on her. Although £39, so a pricier product, I was paying for the luxury of the brand name.
However, I didn’t mind this as I don’t have any negatives to share about this palette. I loved it. The eyeshadows are creamy and blend well with limited fallout. I have created so many gorgeous looks with this palette and will definitely be reaching for it a lot more!
Although this item is definitely a luxury, if you’re looking for a palette that can take you from day to night and one that will create the most gorgeous looks, then I would recommend taking a look at the Dior palettes.
